Leona Gogolicynová is a concert violinist living in London, UK. Her professional activities span many fields, most notably solo performance, chamber, and session work.

Recent highlights include Leona performing Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor with Kingston Chamber Orchestra in Kingston upon Thames (March 2024), Finchley Symphony Orchestra in London, and The St Clement’s Players in Cambridge, as well as taking on projects in various prestigious UK venues, such as St John’s Smith Square, Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, Barbican Centre and Milton Court Hall. Leona has performed in the UK and France with her Walshaw Trio and runs her own Slavic Soirees concert series in South West London. Violin lessons


Leona is a dedicated violin teacher with over 6 years of experience in teaching different ages and skill levels from beginners to advanced.

She is able to teach a variety of musical styles, including classical, popular, world music and improvisation, as well as coaching students towards taking examinations and performing live on stage.

Leona creates an individual development plan for each student, using an effective variety of specialist teaching techniques to make lessons fun and enjoyable. She also helps students to understand music theory and aural skills as a basis to their learning.

Leona offers face-to-face lessons at the student’s place, as well as online and at her London studio. Many of her students choose a combination of in-person and virtual lessons. She also offers practice supervision and beginners piano lessons.
